The Ultimate Prep Talk | How to get ready for your Boudoir Portrait Session

So this is where we chat about how to prepare for your boudoir portrait session. If you’re like most of our clients, you’re booked a few months out, and girl, this is going to be the 10,000 foot view of how to prep for your time leading up to the session. K? Let’s do this.

How to prepare for your Boudoir Portrait Session

K, so let’s kinda start backward. The number one thing clients tell me after their session, the thing I hear most frequently is: I was expecting that to be so much harder than it was. Showing up and not canceling was the hardest part.

Seriously. This shit is intimidating. And if you’re like most of my clients, you don’t have a ton of time to dote on yourself. You give yourself a breath of reprieve and have your little indulgences, but focusing on entirely you and then putting it on display? Like, girl. It might take some guts to do this. But babe, it’s so easy once you’re through my door—we laugh, we talk, we enjoy and I guide you through everything. You won’t understand how we produce the work we have, together. It’s that… simple? So. Tip #1? Breathe. The first step is the hardest.

My next prep talk tip: Take time for yourself, very purposefully at least once or twice a month leading up to your session. Make yourself a priority. Is this required? No, girl. But I promise you, the results are pretty spectacular if you choose it.

Do things that make you feel good. Drink water. Put lotion on your skin. Laugh often and with gusto! Enjoy the things that make you feel joy.

As for the. other stuff, we send you emails in the days leading up to your session, guiding you through the prep, grooming, etc. We are available to answer your questions every step of the way.

We can’t wait to have a wonderful day celebrating you!
